From total of four workshops, this is the last one of the first term.
Thank you all for joining the workshop☆
Let us introduce the contents of the workshop from this time.
We first begun the event by singing “Hello Song” !
Since it was the 4
th workshop, everyone sang well together with the music.
The theme was “Let’s enjoy making
nagashi-somen (flowing noodles)!”
Instead of somen, we made udon!
Ose san from Ome city provided us with the bamboo!
Thank you very much Ose san!!!!
And thank you to Jun chef, Gami sensei, Yokoyama san and his daughter for taking part in bamboo hunting in the hot weather!!!!
Prior to the workshop, Yokoyama san and EI-KIDS staff prepared the bamboo for nagashi-somen!
And now we begin to make udon.
Jun chef and Gami sensei showed us demonstration.
First, add ingredients into a bowl and knead the dough until it becomes shiny.
Everyone is working hard to knead the dough.
While we rest the dough, we introduced ourselves to each other☆
Then we played color bingo!
Going around the groups, together with a father.
Did you manage to remember everyone’s name?
After resting the dough, we stretch it with a roll pin and cut into thin strips.
Father is showing his daughter how to cut the dough into strips.
Loosen the noodle. Everyone is hooked to the noodle making experience!
Sharing a bowl between two families♪
The noodle is cooked and it is ready for the nagashi-somen!
Water begins to flow!
Followed by the noodle!!!
Smooth texture and delicious!
Everyone is concentrating on catching the noodles.
The flowing noodle finished within no time!
We said well by singing Good-bye Song.
Did you all enjoy cooking and interactive communication in English and Japanese?
Our chefs and staff are looking forward to seeing you all in the second term
